If you’ve found yourself landing on this page and reading my bio, there’s a decent chance you’re wondering whether I’m the kind of person who would be able to “get” you, accept you, and caringly guide you along your journey.

As an 11-year Air Force veteran and someone who has 15+ years of experience and training of navigating the social and emotional health landscape I draw from a few therapeutic techniques to tailor my approach to your unique needs. From a theoretical perspective I tend to draw from a biopsychosocial model. What that looks like in practice is that I evaluate you as a whole person versus just a constellation of symptoms. My treatment approach is also informed through a functional health paradigm, implementing lifestyle changes such as dietary interventions, exercise, nutraceuticals and mindfulness. My primary goal is to understand your core values and personality and make efforts to support you in aligning our treatment plan with who you are.

I frequently work with clients navigating intersecting identities, such as how their family of origin, sexuality, and culture interact. I have experience with people of diverse cultural backgrounds and have a special interest in working with those with questions surrounding their racial/ethnic identity, sexual identity, and gender identity. I’m LGBTQIA+ affirming and often do evaluations for gender dysphoria and masculinizing/ feminizing surgery. Everyone goes through periods when they question what makes them who they are. Some examples include the issues that arise with young entrepreneurial women navigating the unique challenges that arise for women in tech, management, military operations and other traditionally male-dominated roles. I specialize in first responder health, professionals and mental health clinicians needing discrete support.

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

My mission is to help you discover your ideal health. I am passionate
about your physical, emotional and spiritual health and desire to take the
journey with you.

I am classically trained and use evidence-based medicine along with a
deep dive into the root cause of your condition to discover the solution
for you. I have discovered there is better way through a holistic approach
which incorporates physical, environmental, and mental health. I am no
longer satisfied with treating symptoms alone. Your body was created to
do amazing things and my goal is to help you heal, transform and find
freedom.

I use traditional medications alongside supplements, nutrition, and
behavioral therapy (among others!) to aid in your process. I believe your
story is unique. In this way, your healing process will also be unique.

Together, we come up with a plan that works for your life, your vision,
and your dreams.

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and received my Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of South Alabama. I specialize in treating adults (18+) with mental health concerns including but not limited to anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD and psychotic symptoms.

I have previously worked as a board certified psychiatric registered nurse for 5 years in the inpatient setting. I strive to develop personalized treatments that are developed to suit each person's lifestyle and strengthen self-awareness and resources for self-care. I have a clinical interest in integrative medicine in which the patient and provider are partners in the treatment process and all factors that influence health are taken into consideration. An integrative approach combines conventional medical and psychiatric diagnostic techniques and treatments with alternative strategies such as mindfulness therapy, supplements, TMS, and other complementary approaches.

I also have an interest in preventive health care and focusing on the action that individuals can take for themselves. Promotion of a healthy mindset through diet, sleep, exercise, and cultivating relationships can make problems less likely to arise and give individuals more capacity to deal with them when they do. A large part of why preventive medicine is successful is the healing power of relationships. This includes an individual's personal relationships and social support networks, which are crucial in overall health and well-being, as well as the provider-patient relationship.

Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I am honest, direct, and passionate about helping people connect to their values and make positive change in their lives.

I believe that our environment, our physical health, and our mental health are intimately linked. I take a whole person approach to counseling where we will address multiple aspects of your health and functioning in order to improve your mental health. An important part of my approach is helping you to broaden your awareness and build insight into how your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions interact and may be keeping you stuck in unhealthy cycles. I also work with my clients on values identification to help guide us in developing practical steps to get you unstuck and moving forward in life in a meaningful way. My main treatment modalities are cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy.

I have experience working in inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient clinical settings and I have a special interest in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, mood disorders, sport/performance and general life difficulties (relationship conflict, job/career changes, managing stress).
